|About Dr. Bianconi
A Bay Area native, Dr. Bianconi received her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at UCLA and then continued her studies at UC Berkeley School of Optometry. She completed her clinical training at Alameda Health System and at Veterans Affairs hospitals, including Casa Grande CBOC of the Tucson VA, San Francisco VA. and Palo Alto VA. After conferring her Doctor of Optometry degree, Dr. Bianconi completed a residency in primary care and ocular disease, with an emphasis on glaucoma, at the Albuquerque VA.
Activities and involvement:
Dr. Bianconi teaches at UC Berkeley School of Optometry as an assistant clinical professor. She is a member of the California Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She previously volunteered on an optometric humanitarian mission to Southern Vietnam, where she provided care for orphaned children affected by Agent Orange.
In her spare time, Dr. Bianconi can be found hiking and eating all over the Bay Area. She also enjoys traveling abroad and has been to Japan, Vietnam, Spain, Norway, Italy, and France, to name a few.
