Audrey Louie, OD

Dr. Audrey Louie joined the practice in 2008.

Dr. Louie attended Stanford University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with Distinction in Industrial Engineering in 2000. Upon graduation, she worked as a software engineer for a startup developing a billing and invoicing software product. She realized very quickly that she preferred to work more closely with people and directly impact their lives through health care.

She returned to school and later received her Doctor of Optometry degree with Clinical Honors from the University of California at Berkeley, School of Optometry. Her clinical training included externships at the Palo Alto and Honolulu Veteran's Administration Medical Centers and the Alameda County Medical Center.

Activities and Involvement

Dr. Louie most recently served on the board of the Santa Clara Optometric Society (SCCOS) as COA Presidents’ Council and Legislative Day Liaison. She also previously served as Trustee of Events and Programs, Social Committee Co-Chair, and Society Project Co-Chair. In 2015, Dr. Louie was honored with the 2015 Young Optometrist of the Year Award by SCCOS.

She is also a member of the California Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She is proud to be very active in these organizations as they ensure continued quality eye care and advocate for the advancement of the profession.

Dr. Louie enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two children. Together they cook, travel, and explore new restaurants. On her days off, Dr. Louie also enjoys chauffeuring her kids to their various activities.

On weekends, they can also be found relaxing and enjoying the beautiful California weather on campus at both Stanford and Cal. They love both institutions. Go Cardinal! Go Bears!
